About Knitting Today
Celebrating our 10th anniversary at 8040 East 500 South, Wolcottville, Indiana.
Tom and Lea-Ann McGregor began their business, Knitting Today, in 1993, working out of their home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Initially, they supported Bond (Ultimate Sweater Machine) owners by providing parts, instruction, seminars and club meetings online at http://www.knittingtoday.com. Lea-Ann also taught knitting and tatting through Ben Franklin Crafts and the Park Department in Fort Wayne.
In 2002, the McGregor's moved to Pretty Lake and opened shop in "the old bait store" at the corner of State Road 3 and 500 South. Moving to the storefront allowed an expansion of supplies to include hand knitting, yarn, and classes. The staff at Knitting Today is known for their customized service and technical knowledge. We are here to help with yarn choice and pattern selection all the way through technique and successful completion of your project. They host weekly knitting groups, classes, annual getaways, and frequent guest speakers. Online we have an e-news, facebook group, twitter, and Ravelry groups.
Whether you desire community knitting, technique instruction, or specialized shopping (in store and online), Knitting Today has it all.
